various African combs

here are the two Afar combs on top (light coloured Wood, Ethiopia), which Ingrid mentioned on a comment, the dark one below is the Mursi or Hamer comb (dark Wood and copper, also Ethiopia) and the two at left the Karamajong metal combs (Northern Uganda). Just felt like taking a picture adding the two Afar combs. Also have a Kenyan Wood comb, but it did not fit into the picture.

  • Lovely pic, Eva!

I very much like the top most Afar comb, but the others are also nice!

  • @thank you Betty, for your Kind comment!  As mentioned, I have a Kenyan Wood comb with a face carved on top but I forgot to add it on the photo.  Love photographing, am going to take some new photos of Cheetahs tomorrow..... will be Walking around the whole day. When I look at the photos here, it is for me not only looking at ethnic jewellery, but I also consider it from the photographic Point of view.........

  • Dear Eva; For me - they all look great. With kind regards. Peter
