An appreciation of ethnic jewellery and adornment

Torque from Oman

This necklace for a child is from the Wahaybah desert.
I was told the text said: Al Malbous= the one who is wearing this................+ the date 1428.
Somebody else said it is a name: Hazamlbus al-`Afiyya.
I myself have no idea what will be right.
May be Ays can have a look???

Ayis, thank you so much, you are a great help.

It makes sense to write this on a necklace for ones child! So much hazards for a small one in the desert.

i can read "haza malbus al- 'afiya"

which can translate in different ways:

1-may this necklace bring health to the wearer

2-this necklace brings health

Anyway, Something in relation with the prophylactic property related to good health embedded in the necklace

The date i read is either  1343 or 1323 of the hegira
