If that is so, they came from Pakistan by way of India, which is were they were shipped from my source there. It's possible, surely. Thank you!

I had a set of these last year and they were from Pakistan, but as you say, there is frequent jewel traffic between the two places

Yes, Martin, thank you. I have seen nearly identical pieces in books attributing them to Gujarat as well.
