  • These are beyond beautiful, the have wonderful age and character.
  • I know it sounds bland, but "Oh, I love this string!" (that's what I said outloud when I saw it again.)
  • Mauritania. verry nice

  •  These would be my ideal prayer beads - very interesting, extraordinarily beautiful and with a natural harmony.

  • I agree with Frankie. I return to this image quite often. These have become my standard of excellence for judging prayer beads. They are perfection.

  • nice prayer beads. the combination of beads is excelent. it looks very old

i have friends serching some nice items now in Mauritania. if there is anything in this direction, i ll let you know Toya ;-)

  • A O, if your friends should find two items anything like this (I know it`s unlikely),please could you let me know too?

    I find these absolutely enthralling!

  • What a stunner, once in a lifetime really, the warmth is oozing off this beautiful piece.  The creator of this  necklace (prayerbeads) also had an eye of perfection, the color combination of the different beads are also repeated in the silk(?) or woolen tassle. Are the black beads ebony wood or black coral? And the silver decoration on the beads, almost unbelievable that can be done to such perfection.

Congratulations on finding such a beautiful item.

  • Ingrid, thanks so much for prompting me to look at this again.

I do have quite a nice one (in my photos) but I can`t believe there would ever be another to top this one in my estimation.

  • like it even more.!
