please stefany, i have a question regarding thus beads. for me they are branch coral. i know them also as edo beads form west africa.
where do you categorise them ?

in my estimation they are not very old, probably from China, and not really "branches" because they are too big and fat (some about 15mm diameter and 20mm long) most likely cut from the big trunks or stems- i know that chinese coral beads were and are imported into W. Africa to meet the demand. in Nigeria they are worn at weddings.
i have made them into 2 large knotted necklaces which i would like to sell. I posted a number of pictures already a few months ago. For anyone interested i can give more details!

they are actualy the basic of the branches.the ast. i know them as colored , china export. i was used to buy them for not expensive price. they are blood red when new and they get this color later on.
i did quick a foto.
yes the nigeran ones are the same and they are called edo beads, they were real preciouse coral in the passt.and worna lot fron the king family. here a foto.
