Superb filigree covered in granulation, double-sided. Gilding with carnelian and glass or garnet cabochons.

I don't normally get crosses as I prefer to collect Islamic jewelry, but I do have a weakness for old Ethiopian crosses and Bulgarian pieces, which this reminds me of. I could not resist!

I wish I could say more about it. It does remind me of something, but I can't put my finger on it....

But like you I also love old Ethiopian and other Orthodox crosses.
