old omani silver beads

barrel shaped silver beads from sultante of Oman..the central strand is thought to be of Baluchi origin like many jewelry on the Omani coast.

     Hi Alaa,Love the inner lot, I bought a couple of them from an Afghan gentleman.  Now I know why I like them because I do like the Oman robust style.Thanks for the info.  Gr. Ingrid.

    These are lovely!  I agree with Ingrid that the inner strand is great.  There is something very pleasing about the proportions and the ratio of smooth silver to chased and granulated.

    All the beads are hollow but quite large
