Necklace-Earrings - Oman

Very nice and old piece! Instead of the usual coral/coral imitation beads, gold beads are arranged, which cannot be seen very often.The chain was arranged later to wear it around the neck. However, this piece is usually fastened on the head gear.

  • Dear Angelo; You are right. Being on site has definitely its advantages. However, it is not always easy to be away from home. I am missing my silver collection here in Saudi Arabia! There are a few shops which have some nice jewelry, however, these are scarce. I have seen a stunning Saudi veil and a Yemeni silver belt with dagger. However, both are very expensive....   • This is splendid, Peter. The two pendants look like earrings. Is it possible that the piece originally was suspended from the earrings and worn under the chin? It looks very like the earring necklaces that come from Sur.
