It's gorgeous Betty! Congratulations on a very fine and old purse. The reappearance of lost in transit packages gives me some hope that maybe some day my lost package will turn up.
Below is very similar work. In good silver with a signature panel of the silversmith. The stone is a garnet.

I am actually going to part with it, Ingrid. But I have another one, all solid silver and done in a cut-out fashion, that even wear quite often. I'd love to keep this too, but I sometimes have to part with a piece.
Hi Betty, We do have this piece. It has some other great dangles at the bottom, filigree hirz. We have some photos on facebook right now.
