Levant Pendant

A small silver pendant, from somewhere in the Levant (identification is welcome!) With two red, and one green glass stones. One real coin from the early 1900s, the other jewelry coins. A finely worked pendant in high grade silver.

  • Very nice Lynn, I can recognize one of the coins as old Russian. Which was evident in some jewlery in the levant specially in Palestine which attracted lots of pilgrims from Russia. Br, sami
  • Thank you so much Sami and Thelma.  Sami, yes it is a beautiful old Russian coin.  I think the pendant is probably from Palestine or Syria.  Thelma, I have not delved deeply into the symbolism.  I assume the triangle shape is for the female divine, and the flowers are fertility and also perhaps the circles eyes to deflect the evil eye.  There is a lot of very interesting symbolism in jewelry from the Levant.
