Large 'toka' (woman's belt buckle) from NW Anatolia. Late-Ottoman, end of 19th century. Silver and glass paste. Featuring stylized tulips (in its shape) and a six-pointed star (‘Davut Yıldızı’ = Star of David), which was used by Muslims and Christians, and during the 19th century increasingly by the Jews. (Uluumay Müzesi, Bursa).
