I am interested in the embroidered piece shown in the picture posted by Ayis.

I bought a piece, which I think may be for this purpose. I had assumed it was a bodice until now, but it may be a newer version of this back piece.

And there are many good comments, too. Thanks a lot for the people providing both photos and comments.

Yes, it is really good and instructive to such photos!

Indeed Hillary, quite an oddity to see plastic bangles in an old picture from Morocco!!

The silver bracelets are not hefty, they are a very light cambered sheet of silver of the type we find in the presahara, but it seems as if they are oversize and that the plastic bracelets would prevent them from sliding off!!

Yess a coin it seem to be!

Here a backside view of the issafen hairdress from the same photographer ( Besancenot has been of a great help in regard of costumes and jewelry from Morocco)

Too bad I didn't know Sarah longer ago I was working with a collection that had round ones  about 7-8  years ago and I didn't buy them myself as I don't like most fibula myself and didn't have a good track recored selling fibula. That one private person had a great pair. but those are long since gone I would imagine. I purchased all the rest of the stuff and there were a few remaining pieces and she moved ?

Is that a single coin in her hair?

Odd indeed about the black and white bracelets.  Early plastics?  Used to help avoid chafing by the big, assumingly heavy bangles?

Again, those round worm holes fibulas are wonderful and i am for once very happy to see a women wearing two sets of fibula pairs the same time. Definetely not an oddity

Very rich woman.

Does anyone have an idea about the black and white bracelets??? intriguing!
