  • Lynn ..the keyboard got crazy …kisses

  • It's wonderful, Angelo. No wonder you got it immediately. I used to have one like this. I'll post a picture. Neither the image nor the piece itself is as good as this one but it might be interesting to see. I had always wondered what was missing from the front of the pendant.

  • Dear Thelma .. thanx...yours was gorgeous …where is it now ?? sold it ?? and looks heavier then mine …..

btw ..a big ball is missing in the center of the rosette and three little balls on each side of the pendant.. a good jeweler could fix that ….

    Kisses

    Angelo

  • Dear Angelo; This is a nice piece. Since Thelma posted hers, I thought that I also post mine. On the photo it is not yet polished though. I just made it for customs purposes... Enjoy and congratulations for your nice piece! Peter

  • Hi Angelo. No, I no longer have my necklace. But despite all its faults I thought it was basically a lovely piece. I was interested in your comment about sending it to a good jeweller. I have tried this before but without success. The jewellers round here won't touch these old pieces because they are afraid of damaging them. They tell me the silver has been mixed with other metals, such as lead, which have a much lower melting point. It seems they no longer have the skills to deal with this..

  • Thelma …indeed …a jeweler is afraid to touch these objects because of the damage can cause a regular torch ..it will burn all surrounding areas of it …..

only laser micro soldering can be used ….it controls the various temperature of the mixed metals ..

i'm very lucky living in NYC where many jeweler have this device...

infact i'm going today to pick up a Wasab yemeni necklace where was missing a bail right in the center of the pendant …i'll post a pic before and after ...

    Kisses

    Angelo
