Hello Mustafa,

the piece comes from the Zadrima region in Northern Albania. It is worn mainly from Albanian catholic women, as part of a set of jewelry. The necklace is used to contain religious inscriptions which will protect the owner from evilness and misfortune. The same tradition is used in other parts of Albanian or the Ottoman Empire for that matter.
