  • Mustafa for your info.here more of the Ethiopian silver bangles as I promosed, I had to get them out of my shop.

    Gr. Ingrid.

  • Ingrid, these are very beautiful and yet another Ethiopian jewelry type I have not seen before.  I particularly love the one on the far left with it's worn spiral.

  • Thanks for that Ingrid. They are similar to those of Libya  and in both cases they are high in silver content. In the Libyan case , they are normally worn as closed bangles.

At some time in history in Libya ' late sixties and seventies'  these were also sold in gold.

  • Yes Lynn, it is a lovely bracelet, but very small. I am going to put these bracelets in my Etsy shop. As I am closing my actual shop in Amsterdam. Gr. Ingrid.

  • Mustafa, Also in Ethiopia this type of bracelets were and are sold in Ethiopia, but of a much thinner quality and than they are closed bracelets.  I did have more solid once  and quite comfortable to wear, but they became too small for my hand to pass through and too large for my daughters and granddaughters  and so I sold them to the jeweler. Gr. Ingrid.
