Worn with the parandja -- the lady is entirely hidden from view -- she can see out ( a little, it is very dark in there) but no one can see in.

http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/p/m/1f40dc/ -Another of my favorite parandja pics-- when I first saw this, I didn't even recognize the standing veiled ladies as humans -- I guess I was so shocked to see every little bit covered. Well, that would be necessary when a picture is taken!

http://brookoli.tumblr.com/post/17553107758/uzbek-women-in-classroo... is a great image, ladies in school enveloped in horsehair -- really scary to look at, but not so offensive when you actually have the veil and realize you can see out of it and you can function in it. It is certainly more comfortable than a Rashaida veil!
