This head cover is very heavy being embroidered with silver beads, very classic to the Rashaideh tribe.

Dear Ingrid, Many thanks for your comments. No, I did not visit Eritrea. Such fabrics can be found in the souk from time to time. I have seen a gorgeous head cover, similar to this one. However, instead of red, the color was kept in a sort of orange, which looks fantastic. These fabrics are actually quite large and very heavy, due to the silver beads. At the beginning, I was wondering how the ladies would be wearing them. Then, when standing in our Hotel Lobby one evening, I have seen a Saudi lady wearing a head cover with similar design but much lighter and more modern. Now I know at least, how these beauties are worn... With kind regards. Peter
