Golden Pig Necklace

A photo taken of a jewelers store front in the Kowloon section of Hong Kong. There were several variations of this model on display. The pig symbolizes wealth and virility in Chinese culture.

Another version in the same shop window....

I get the cultural significance, but I admit that I still find this a bit bizarre! Nevertheless, it is an interesting example of how jewelry conveys important symbolism.
