Gowrishankaram worn by men from the Nattukottai Chettiar community and with priests of the Shiva Temple in Chidambaram. Chain of rudraksha seeds. The amulet is called a Gowri -Shanktar and symbolizes the union of Shiva and Parvati. 22 K gold and rubies. 19th c Tamil Nadu
