Education in adornment

In April Nic Tharpa Cartier and Riffat Bridal Specialist generously came to Morocco to teach at our cultural association HennaCafe Marrakech. The classes for local women were given free of charge, and resulted in a wave of consciousness within the henna artists in Marrakech regarding the extreme dangers of the use of PPD and also acetone in Faux'henna' mixes. These interactions opened a channel to communicate with and educate the nquashas working within tourism (not as simple as it sounds!) Since April I have followed the classes with outreach work in DJeema l Fna in central Medina Marrakech.
To continue to help to empower these women to understand the benefits of natural organic henna we propose to supply safe natural henna ready mixed on a daily basis to any street artist in Marrakech who chooses to come to our courses.
The next step of the project will be further classes this year.
We need help to get Nic back to Marrakech to support us with this project.
