Thanks Alaa. I must confess that I keep buying Caucasian niello work that is halfway affordable, especially after learning that there are very few people left in the Caucasus who still master this technique.

Betty, these are fabulous earrings!! I know you don't wear pierced earrings but do you ever wear clips? I have some very heavy Uzbek earrings that I thread into removable clips to wear and it works well.

Yes Lynn, that's exactly what I do! I have worn these first with simple screw back tops (but they were brass-colored and I did not like that so much) and now with some simple Mexican style silver clips. they look quite impressive when worn and they are not too heavy.
