I am told that her costume along with jewelry costs in excess of 30,000 TD ($20,000 USD).  Frequently the outfit is communally owned by families because of the cost.  The costume (without jewelry) can be rented for about 1000TD per week...a princely sum, but one must consider that all of the embroidery is done by hand, and the metallic thread is often real silver!

came back to this one too, she is very beautiful, and she wears lots of jewellery, besides her special "costume". I am quite fascinated to discover all her things at a second look...
