Bracelets or Anklets? ID please

The almost identically engraved bracelets or anklets vary slightly in weight and diameter. One is 61, other other 66 cm inside diameter. Weight 115 and 117grams.They were acquired in Tebessa (about 200 km south of Annaba) in Algeria in the 1970s. They are rather coarsely made (metal mix). I would be interested to know more about their origin and original use.

  • hello Betty yes it is possibl from tbessa or regions round. tey are actualy worn in tunisia and lybia too

    i make it short, i have only few mn but later on, i come to you with more details. tbessa is a city in the aures,the inhabitants are chawi and they are closer to tunisia than annaba

    the same bracelets are worn as bracelets ofcourse,uperarms or as cufs called khalkhals. i have the three in my fotos
