An appreciation of ethnic jewellery and adornment
These beads are a recent acquisition and as bead are not a strong point of mine, I would welcome any input. They were sold as Qajar Dynasty Persian beads. The beads do show great wear, some more than others.

Could it be what they used to call Venetian Red feathers (although the beads here are black....)? But I dont know much about beads, experts may want to clarify.............
