Yes, they still manufacture both of these varieties in Indonesia, but I have been told by two different experts that these are genuine antiques (although restrung). Frankly, I have a hard time telling the difference myself, but there is something subtle in the colors and surface texture of these when compared against the new ones. As you can see, the Javanese have been imitating the Venetian beads for a long time.
