rare large African southern cross or boghdad worn by black skinned agriculturalist in a very wide area especially at the southern Mauritanian border and south wards through parts of Mali and Senegal. The extension of their distribution could be found as south as north Ivory coast among the muslim Kong people and related groups.

    Dear Cordelia, I know little about such crosses but this one seems to be rather a lovely specimen & particularly large, although of course this is not a perfect science from a photograph, I would be quite pleased to have one in my collection, are you from 'azultribe' on etsy? if so, I have bought from you, kind regards, zhanna
