i am no expert on this, but I read once that removal of the rings (if they are already many and worn many years) would lead to death, because the neck cannot carry the head anymore after years of "being in the rings", the muscles of the neck could not hold the weight of the head anymore without the rings, thus the Person would die. (cannot guarantee this, I just read it some years ago). If it is not true, the better
