This is so much nicer than I can capture with my camera.It`s the four rosette sun symbols, the female representation of all that is fruitful and productive, which lead me to identify this as Kazakh. But if anyone know differently I`d be glad to hear.The only mark is the cyrillic letter "z".

    I am not sure if it's Kazakh - the rosette symbol is widely used across cultures I believe. But unfortunately, I cannot offer an alternative opinion. If there is Cyrillic letter, it might be placed also in the wider Caucasus region... but that is no more than a wild guess.

    Wherever it's from, it's most gorgeous and looks as if it has some age. Lucky you!

    I agree with you, which makes this hard for me to identify. Particularly since these symbols are frequently shared with Dagestan.

    It`s the particular shape of the floral rosette that makes me eventually plump for Kazkhstan.
