I have wanted 7 layer chevrons for years, and I just knew I had to buy these from mosquitobay, ebay.
The silver is from O. Muslim, and yes he is very honest and the silver is fabulous, the real deal.
He buys straight from the Afghans who cross into Peshawar, Pakistan, and he has some lovely items in his ebay shop. Check out the silver rings at the minute...........

Thanks Sabine and M.A., I keep the beads nearby when I am working and just glance at them now and again, they must have so many stories to tell, if only they could talk! or maybe not in some cases.
Yes the silver beads are perfect with it, thanks to O. Muslim, and he said these beads are between 100-300 yrs old, so almost as old as the chevrons.
Hi Ann, I was curious as to which eBay you found O. Muslim. The silver beads and chevrons are delicious. Sadly, I was at the huge African Village section of the Tucson gem show today and the good old beads are *seriously* lacking! almost none to be found. The African bead dealers, mostly from the Gambia, are selling Chinese and Indian-made modern beads. Very sad. Several dealers also told us that one can find better and more beads in the US now. We see that this is not only happening with ethnic jewelry from certain areas, but Saharan and Sahelian African beads as well.
