  • Sorry for vanishing for a month but family issues come first. My question to all is what do you think my necklace is worth? If I wanted to sell it what would be a fair price? Thank you in advance for your advice.

  • I second Lynn's idea, these are contemporary or at most vintage necklaces, definetely Indian from Lyn's example which is strikingly similar to yours Keith!!

The other possible theory is a modern turkish necklace for the tourist market BUT with Indian made elements. The way the orange colored beads are strung is very much in a NEO-OTTOMAN way, i mean in a way that is reminescent of the old Turkish/Levant amber beads and how they were used to construct a necklace!

  • I don't remember one but I will take a look tomorrow!

  • Is there a maker's mark on the back of the hook & eye ends of your necklace?

  • Here is a picture of my similar necklace.

  • Lynn, thank you for the information. I have a lot to learn. My primary focus up to this point has been Native American jewelry.

  • I have a necklace that has some of these same beads.  I believe it is contemporary to vintage, made in India, using traditional techniques to make the beads by hand and apply granulation to them.   I will add that on my necklace, it is obviously Indian as it has a central amulet in a traditional shape with peacock designs.
