Any help identifying this please

HI,

Just picked this up off eBay as it looked rather old and tribal(ish)

I know it's in a poor state (Couple of splits) but am not concerned with that, I just want to know more on what it is, where it's from and when.

The eBay ad said it was a pendant but I am not convinced as that would make it smaller than I believe it is.

NB: I am still waiting for this to arrive in the post so do not know the measurements (Yes I am being a little premature with my inquiry)

It looks like a bib/torque for the neck (If large enough) or an arm ring or maybe even an earring (Am i right in thinking that earrings did not always come in pair?)

I will be providing additional info and more photos when the item arrive, I just want a few thoughts from yourselves while I wait.

Thank you,

Indy

  • Its possibly about 5 cms across?

  • Hi Mark, this looks to me like a Hill Tribe earring or temporal which would have been part of a pair.

Vintage tribal Hmong silver earring from Laos.

    Warm wishes
